Woman Climbed Into Giraffe Pen, Got Kicked In Her Face

This is a classic mess with a bull, you get the horns situation. This past Saturday at the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, Wisconsin, 24-year-old Amanda Hall got up close and personal with a giraffe. She climbed over the first fence, and was trying to clear the second fence of the giraffe exhibit, when she ran into some trouble. The trouble was a 2-year-old, 12-foot-tall giraffe named Wally that played her like a fiddle. According to the Associated Press, “Wally gave Hall a lick, then turned and kicked her in the face.” What a genius move by Wally. He gives her a little smooch, she lets her guard down, then he sends her into next week with a brutal dome shot. Reminds me of that old stunt Stone Cold used to pull.

Hall was fined $686 for harassment of zoo animals. She told police that she climbed into the giraffe pen “because she loves giraffes.” I think that in the future it would be in her best interest to love these beautiful creatures from a distance. Unless she also loves holding a pack of frozen peas to her face while writing out a hefty check.
