According to USA Today, University of Maryland University College will eliminate text books from their curriculum in order to save students money from buying those overpriced text books.

They will opt for other methods of learning, such as online reading and videos, which will be at no cost to the students. This will save students thousands of dollars over their college careers.

UMUC is not the only university transitioning to textbook-free classrooms, but they are a pioneer of the movement.

Now how about lowering those absurd tuition costs?
