This Man Survived 3 Days Underwater After Shipwreck

If you can survive nearly 60 hours in the depths of the Atlantic, the rest of your life should pretty much be a breeze. Earlier this year, divers sought out to recovery bodies from a sunken Nigerian ship when they discovered someone was still alive. Harrison Okene, the sole survivor, was able to last three days in an air pocket. Name something worse than being trapped in the ocean, as you hear fish eating away the rest of your crew. I just got done watching Wolverine, so between that and this guy, I somehow feel pathetic for eating a carton of ice cream before noon.

Harrison’s take on the ordeal:

I was there in the water in total darkness just thinking it’s the end. I kept  thinking the water was going to fill up the room but it did not, Okene said,  parts of his skin peeling away after days soaking in the salt water. I was so hungry but mostly so, so thirsty. The salt water took the  skin off my tongue, he said. Seawater got into his mouth but he had nothing to  eat or drink throughout his ordeal.
