The King of Queens, Paul Blart, and if the internet could have its way…The new Frank Underwood. In just under five days, nearly 25,000 signatures have accrued on a petition to replace Kevin Spacey with Kevin James on House of Cards.

Recently, Kevin Spacey found himself in a whirlwind of shit, and Netflix announced that production of House of Cards would be suspended until further notice. Solution? Rally to get Netflix CEO, Reed Hastings to keep the show going with a new lead.

Petition creator, Robbie Pyma pleads his case:

Losing a great show is hard, no matter the circumstances. However with hardship comes the opportunity for a great show to become one of the greatest television shows of all time. I think Kevin James can elevate “House of Cards” to a globally adored franchise like “Game of Thrones” and make the entire world focus on one of the most important Netflix Original series there is.

I’m a Kevin James guy, huge fan Of The King of Queens and I’ve watched Hitch more than I want to admit, but the thought of this is laughable. With that said, the internet is a wild beast, and we can expect giant numbers out of this petition.
