The Wheat Goes Deep: O’s Win In Ten

You know you did it as a kid.  Shit, I still day dream about it today. Bottom of the ninth, bases loaded, and you pretend to crush a grand-salami to win it.  Well, it was the bottom of the tenth when it happened last night, but Matt Wieters got to live out that dream.  The Wheat crushed the first pitch he saw from Brandon Gomes, a weak -ass belt high slider, and the celebration began.  Here’s the footage of the walk-off in case you missed it.

It was a great offensive effort against David Price, and it’s the second time in as many chances that the Orioles have won a game in which Price started.  Everyone was hitting last night, including Nolan Reimold and Steve Pearce, who registered his first hit of the year with a two run home run.  Hopefully this bottom of the order break out will spark some offensive fire for this club.

Our boy Gonzo didn’t pitch very well, but he was able to keep the Birds in the game.  Would be nice to see a starter go over six innings though,  the bullpen could get worn out early if this crap keeps up.

Old goat Freddy Garcia is pitching his ass off in the minors.  He may be in the rotation by the end of the month.

We like Alexi Casilla.  He has speed, hustle, and he plays a sick second base.  Buck, leave him in the lineup until B-Rob comes back please. Thanks.

The madness continues at Camden Yards tonight against the Dodgers.  Get your ass to the Yard.

Go O’s!
