The Twins…..Really?!

The Orioles had it all going for them this weekend.   They were coming off a great opening series against Tampa, they were playing in front of big and excited crowds, and they were playing one of the worst teams in the American League.  Hell, they even had great weather to play in.  But none of it mattered as the Orioles allowed the weekend series to get away from them, losing two out of three to the Minnesota Twins.  What made the losses even more frustrating was the fact that both were very winnable games.  In fact, both losses could be blamed on defensive errors by two of the Orioles’ best players.  On Saturday night Chris Davis booted a ground ball that ended up leading to the game winning run.  On Sunday Adam Jones mis-judged a can of corn that ended up scoring two.  Of course without the offense that these two players are producing the Birds would probably be 0-6, so we’re willing to turn the page and move on.

Nolan Reimold has a tight hamstring and says he is day-to-day.  Just great , already Roberts and Reimold are injured.  Even though

Reimold’s injury doesn’t appear serious,  I am beginning to wonder if him and Roberts have been cursed by some little evil old woman holding voodoo dolls in their likeness.  This little evil woman is of course wearing a Red Sox hat.  I hate her.  Hopefully Reimhold doesn’t miss too much time.

What the hell is going on with Chris Davis?  He hasn’t homered in two straight games.

Camden Yards was fun this weekend.  Attendance was over 120,000 for the series.  Let’s keep packing the Yard, we need to take it back as our own.  It will be interesting to see what happens when the asshole Yankees come here in late May.

The bullpen took a loss on Saturday night, but their ERA was 0.00 for the weekend series.

The Birds travel to Boston today.  Game time is 2:05  Chen (o-o) vs Buchholz (1-0).  I hate the Red Sox more than any team in baseball. It would be great to ruin their Opening Day today.
