The Norfolk Tides Turned A Triple Play Last Night

That was Michael Almanzar to Rey Navarro to Christian Walker for the 5-4-3 triple play. That was a silky smooth turn, and the Glenn Quagmire giggity was a hilarious touch. It was the first triple play for the Norfolk Tides since June 15, 1997, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. After escaping this 8th inning jam, the Tides went on to defeat the Durham Bulls 3-1. I’m sure Crash Davis was real butthurt about it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes you’re the victim of a perfectly executed triple play.
