Somebody Please Pay This Guy’s $5 Bail For Stealing Cookies

A man named Lucky Crowder is stuck in jail in Albuquerque, New Mexico for the crime of stealing cookies. His bail is set at 5 American dollars, but no one is willing to pay for him to be set free. Yes, you read that correctly: $5. This is costing American taxpayers $80 a day to keep him in jail.
I’d be willing to pay this guy’s bail, because I believe in second chances at life. However, this guy’s just a danger to society. Stealing cookies? That’s a guy I don’t want to run in to on the streets.
No word on what type of cookies this street thug was attempting to steal. They damn sure better have been Samoas. Samoas are worth any amount of jail time. Plus, stealing from Girl Scouts raises street cred like nobody’s business. If HBO’s ‘The Wire’ ever returned for a sixth season, I can see Lucky Crowder roaming the streets of Baltimore with Omar, stealing drug money and Chips Ahoy.
