In a tweet Monday night, Rayshad Lewis, son of Ray Lewis, announced his decision to transfer to Maryland. Rayshad spent his freshman year as a wide receiver for Utah State, where he ended the 2016 season with 40 catches for 476 yards and two touchdowns.

Twitter  I will always have love for my teammates, coaches and fans at Utah State. But I have made a decision that I feel is best for me my family and future. I have decided to transfer and reopen my recruiting with hopes of finding a new home. I have no regrets from my first year of college all the ups and downs have made me stronger. I appreciate all the love and support but I feel this is necessary so thank you to any and everyone that has believed in me so far through this journey.

Lewis announced his plans for re-recruitment on April 24th, and committed to Maryland shortly after. Per NCAA transfer rules, Rayshad must sit out for the 2017 season, but will still have three years eligibility remaining.

Serious question, how long will it take for Ray to hijack the Terps locker room, and become the unofficial hype man?
