I like this move a lot for a couple reasons. The Ravens may have had a large group of tight ends at the beginning of the offseason, although a less than impressive group, but after suspensions and injuries, the latest coming to Crockett Gillmore, tight end has become a position of need. Larry Donnell is a veteran who can help the team.

I also like this move because Larry Donnell is a huge man. At 6’6″ and 269, Donnell provides a big bodied end zone target for Joe, which is something the Ravens are sorely missing. Donnell has nine touchdowns in his four year career, 6 of which came in 2014.

This isn’t a blockbuster move by any means, but adding a guy who has made plays in the past to a position of need was important.
