Power Surge Continues At The Yard As Birds Take Series From Jays

Call 911. Chris Davis and Adam Jones are murdering baseballs. The duo both homered for the third straight game Sunday and led the Birds to a 7-4 victory against the visiting Blue Jays.  Davis has now hit a dinger in four straight games, an obvious nod to the release of the Keep Calm and Crush On tee-shirt here at charm city wire. (shameless plug babes) Jones now has 19 home runs on the year and Davis continues to lead the league with 37 round trippers.  It’s awesome to watch, and the all the power definitely keeps the yard rockin’.

Solid Feldman

Solid Feldman

Scott Feldman rebounded nicely from his last debacle to give a real strong start Sunday.  Feldman went 7 and 1/3 and allowed only three earned while striking out seven.  Tillman, Gonzo, and Feldman all went 6-plus this week, which is real good news for the bullpen.  The rotation needs to keep it up.  Meanwhile, after three starts, Feldman looks pretty solid overall.  So far it looks like a solid trade, and it saves Oriole fans from the potential heart problems which went hand-in-hand with Pedro Strop’s appearances.

Chris Tillman was added to the All Star roster when Justin Verlander scratched.  Tillman has eleven wins and gives the Birds five All-Stars overall.  Time to represent.

The Blue Jays out hit the Orioles in every game in this series, but the O’s took two out of three anyway.

Chris Davis now has 93 RBIs.  Was this guy a fucking steal or what babes? Hey Dan and Peter, give him $100 million now and lock him up.

The O’s are 53-43 and go into the break 4.5 games behind Boston.

For the first time in years I can’t wait to watch the Home Run Derby.

How great was it that Jose Bautista’s punk ass went 1-13 with 6 strikeouts for the series?  I didn’t see him jawing at any Orioles pitchers this weekend.

Let’s Go O’s!
