Ozzie Newsome To Step Down After 2018 Season; Eric DeCosta Will Take Over

Ozzie has come under a lot of scrutiny in recent years, mostly due to drafting bust after bust in early rounds of the draft. But Ozzie helped build this franchise into the winner it has been, and we owe nothing but thanks to the man.

That being said, I do think it was time for the Ravens to move on from him as GM, although he will still remain with the team in a leaser role. Although he’s always been a class act, the lack of talent on the Ravens roster was incredible. They spent $120 million on a QB (justifiably so at the time), but never built around him, and failed time and time again in the draft since the Ravens latest Super Bowl win. It was time for Ozzie to set down from his duties, but I hope fans remember him for the good times, not the bad.
