JuJu Smith-Schuster Suspended For This Weeks Game Against The Ravens

It looks like the Ravens road to the playoffs got just a touch easier today, as their game Sunday night against the Steelers got a bit easier. The Steelers won’t have their second best receiver, JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Here’s the hit in question:

This doesn’t come as a huge surprise, based on how violent last night’s Steelers-Bengals game was. There were multiple head shots last night, whether they were intentional or not. If this was just an isolated incident with JuJu, I think he might just receive a fine. But  I think the NFL is dishing out suspensions for these hits because they want to send a message to clean it up, especially on national TV. The violence in last night’s game wasn’t a good look for the NFL, and these suspensions are a product of needing a cleaner image for the league.

Regardless, as a Ravens fan, and as someone who was going against JuJu in my fantasy playoffs, I’m happy.
