Jay Z Thinks That Water Is Free

Entertainment, Humor — March 31, 2015 at 4:50 pm by

Jay Z was interviewed by The New York Times about his music streaming service, Tidal. When discussing consumers paying for music, Jay Z dropped an analogy that didn’t make a lick of sense.

Come on, Jay. I know you’re worth a shit ton of money and haven’t worried about your water bill in decades, but you’ve gotta be better than that. This is the man who said, “I sell ice in the winter, I sell fire in hell. I am a hustler baby, I’ll sell water to a well.” You would think he’d be more knowledgeable when it comes to utilities. But in Jay’s defense, I always assume that every wealthy person uses a Hawaiian Punch fountain to quench their thirst anyway. Tap water’s for real peons.
