Yesterday I had lunch at Chopstix in Forest Hill, and was completely blown away by the item I ordered.  Honestly, I feel quite lucky to have even found this dish, as it was located on the back of Chopstix’s specials menu.  Ancient Chinese secret, babes.  The dish was entitled simply, Pineapple Fried Rice.  It struck my eye, because for only $13, the dish included shrimp, chicken, pineapple, and cashews.

When the dish came out, it was a mountain of fried rice, tossed in a red tinted Thai sauce.  There were about eight medium-sized shrimp, along with big chunks of chicken.  It was all mixed together with cashew nuts, pineapple chunks, and peas.  Whatever the sauce was, it gave the dish a perfect blend of sweetness and a touch of spice.  It was so good that I’m already planning on picking up another carryout order this weekend. It is quite possibly the best lunch plate in Harford County

Chopstix in Forest Hill also does very good sushi.  We had a ninja roll, which was a new one for me, and a dynamite roll.  Both were excellent, especially the dynamite roll.  I usually order that everywhere I go for sushi, and Chopstix’s dynamite roll ranks near the top.  A dynamite roll is a great roll to order for sushi beginners because it’s actually baked.

So if you’re in the Bel Air/Forest Hill area, do yourself a favor and check out Chopstix.  It’s a great place to eat Asian cuisine and the pineapple fried rice alone is worth the trip.
