Indonesia Plans To Use Crocodiles To Guard A Prison

As if life couldn’t possibly get any worse for Indonesian death row drug convicts, authorities now want to put them in an island prison guarded by crocodiles. From The Guardian:

The proposal is the pet project of anti-drugs chief Budi Waseso, who plans to visit various parts of the archipelago in his search for reptiles to guard the jail.

“We will place as many crocodiles as we can there. I will search for the most ferocious type of crocodile,” he was quoted as saying by local news website Tempo.

Waseso said that crocodiles would be better at preventing drug traffickers from escaping prison as they could not be bribed – unlike human guards.

“You can’t bribe crocodiles. You can’t convince them to let inmates escape,” he said.

You’re goddamn right you can’t bribe crocodiles. All those noble killing machines want is human flesh and justice. Waseso’s plan is still in the early stages and they aren’t sure of the location of the prison or how long it would take to have it ready. But I’m sure that whenever this ingenious plan comes to fruition, the prison system will never be the same. This is the best thing to happen to prison security since bars were invented. Those dirty drug peddlers are royally fucked.
