Former and Underrated Raven Double J Is Hanging Up The Cleats

Jarret Johnson is retiring.  The former Raven outside linebacker is leaving the NFL after spending twelve years setting the edge like a pro.  Johnson, as we all know, spent the majority of his career here in B-Town, but he played the last three seasons in San Diego.    Johnson came into the league as a defensive end out of Alabama, but the Ravens molded him into one of the league’s best strong-side, 3-4, linebackers.  JJ was a lunch pail carrying, hard hitting, edge setting beast while he played here.  He was a complete and utter pro.  That’s why I love the statement he released today….

Pro being a pro.  Plus, the guy was cool as hell.  You always family here, JJ.  Drinks on us next time in Charm City, babes. Besides,  anybody who throws a smack-down like this on ol’ Hines Ward deserves several free shots of Jameson.
