Mayweather Jr. of the U.S. celebrates his victory over Alvarez at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas

Better late than never, right? Fans have been itching for this fight for more than five years, and on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, they’ll finally get to see Floyd Mayweather, Jr. (47-0, 26 KOs) and Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KOs) duke it out. They’ll be fighting at 147 pounds, there’s no rematch clause, and Mayweather gets a 60/40 split of the money. This will undoubtedly be the biggest fight in the history of boxing in terms of revenue generated, with the Showtime/HBO joint pay-per-view expected to cost $89.95 ($99.95 for HD). 100 bucks is highway robbery for a fight that’ll feature a 38-year-old (Mayweather) and a 36-year-old (Pacquiao). But what the hell can you do? Not watch the two best pound-for-pound fighters of a generation finally face off? They’ve got us by the short hairs. And at the end of the day, if Pac-Man is able to beat that smug, women beating asshole, it’ll be worth every penny.
