Pro Football Talk– “Weddle said that he goes to the grocery store, buys a huge quantity of ice cream, mixes in the Oreos and caramel the way he likes it, and then goes to town on Sunday nights when the Ravens win on Sunday afternoon.
“I would think that I consume a full gallon,” Weddle said. “I usually take the first batch of some ice cream, eat it and then about an hour later, at halftime of the Sunday night game, I go after a second serving. So I pretty much get a whole gallon of ice cream Sunday night. It’s pretty bad.”
A gallon of ice cream has about 4,500 calories, but if it works for Weddle, far be it from us to tell him to watch what he eats.”
In theory, this is a great celebration. 4,500 calories to a professional football player is nothing, and ice cream is my all time favorite food. But the execution leaves a little bit to be desired. Oreos and caramel? Come on Weddle, you can’t be more of a basic bitch than that. May as well have a pumpkin spice latte on the side. There’s nothing original about this ice cream. No flair, nothing special. Caramel is the most overrated ice cream topping. Be a real man and eat a gallon of hot fudge on your gallon of ice cream. Peanut butter or banana flavored ice cream would be acceptable. Try marshmallow topping on cotton candy ice cream for the little kid in you. Point is, there are so many better options than this. I love Eric Weddle, but I expect better than this.
