This Friday, February 20th, the 8 x 10 in Federal Hill will play host to yet another highly anticipated show featuring two bands very much on the rise in the Jam Band circuit- ELM and The Mantras. Baltimore natives ELM, short for Electric Love Machine, will be celebrating their two year anniversary as an active band. As their band name may already infer, you can expect ELM to display a well balanced mix of funk, soul, jazz, and electronica, with a friendly and spirited stage presence.

The Mantras, a six piece unit hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina  are no strangers to Baltimore, having played the 8×10 many of times as both a supporting and headlining act. They boast a resume that includes, headlining and running their own festival entitled “Mantrabash”, sharing the stage with jam giants “Umphrey’s McGee”, and of course playing over 150 shows a year all across the nation. They will bring a unique experience fusing almost every style of music you can imagine into one mind melting performance. From good ol’ fashioned rock and roll, to middle eastern twang, and everything in between, these guys will “rawk” your world.

As always, it’s a Friday night, it’s Baltimore, it’s the 8×10, it’s going to be a freaking funky throwdown. You can expect many surprises, collaborations, and special guests. If you haven’t already, dust off your goddamn dancing shoes, and get ready for another rocking disco dance party at the 8×10.
