Cowboys’ rookie cornerback Anthony Brown seems to have gotten his feelings hurt by Steve Smith Sr.
CBS– “I had respect for him before the game, but after the game, I have no respect for him anymore,” Brown said, via ESPN. “He’s a real character, and I actually saw it for myself [Sunday]. I don’t got nothing to say about Steve Smith.”
Brown, despite that sentence, continued to have things to say about Steve Smith.
“Coming into the game, they already told me what kind of player he was,” Brown said. “But until you see it for yourself, then you’re just, ‘Calm down,’ but it’s hard because he keeps yapping after every play. It’s kind of hard.”
I’d be pretty mad myself if I’m a kid in my early twenties and a guy in his late thirties takes you for nearly 100 yards and a touchdown, all while becoming the 14th player EVER to have 1,000 career receptions. I’d say this kid’s name will forever be tied to Steve Smith Sr.’s milestone performance, but no one will ever remember this kid’s name for anything.
Number 999 was dirtyyyy
