Chris Sale Traded To The Red Sox

On the surface this seems like the Red Sox just made one of the biggest deals of the decade, and it’s true they got potentially the second best pitcher in the game. But at the end of the day, giving up prospects isn’t a way to enhance your franchise, and although Sale is an absolute stud, he’s only under team control for three more years, and the Red Sox gave up a TON to get him, including the number one prospect in the game, and the Red Sox number two pitching prospect, as well as two other unknown prospects.

And before everyone starts writing this off as the Red Sox winning the World Series, just remember they said the same thing when David Price signed last year, and he did absolutely nothing.
