Chode’s Week 13 College Picks

Featured, Sports and Bets — November 21, 2013 at 8:21 pm by

Some of you may have thought I lost my college football handicapping skills a few weeks ago.  But after putting together a few winning weeks in a row, including a 3-1 record last week, the train is safely back on the tracks. 23-11 on the season, so lets keep on keepin’ on.

Game 1                             Time: 12PM ESPN2

 Duke @ Wake Forest

Line: Duke -6

Chode’s Pick: Wake

Wake is no push over team. They do have four wins this season. Wake is also playing an ACC divisional game at home, and getting almost a TD. I also think they may have some sort of bounty gate system going on the way Maryland receivers were breaking legs when they played at Wake.

Game 2                            Time 12:21 PM (being exact here guys)

 Mississippi State @ Arkansas

Line: Miss State -2.5

Chode’s Pick: Arkansas

Mississippi State is a team that I have been watching all year. They have lost their last three games to SEC teams ranked in the nation’s top 15 (South Carolina #14, Texas A&M #15, and Alabama #1). The Miss State Bulldogs are beaten down. Their wear and tear is going to show Saturday as Arkansas, at home, will get their first SEC win of the year.

Game 3                           Time 12:30 PM

 Pittsburgh @ Syracuse

Line: Pitt -1

Chode’s Pick: Pitt

The Pittsburgh Panthers took care of me a few weeks ago,  beating highly ranked Notre Dame outight. Pitt will go on the road this week to win a big ACC game against the The Syracuse Orange.

Game 4                           Time 7PM ESPN (Internet special baby)

 Connecticut @ Temple

Line: Temple -9.5

Chodes Pick: UCONN

So I’m taking the 0-9 Connecticut Huskies. Yes, the same ones who lost a home game to the Towson Tigers. Keep in mind they are getting almost 10 points They are also playing a 1-9 Temple team, not BAMA.
