Chode’s Week 10 College Picks

Featured, Sports and Bets — October 31, 2013 at 8:55 pm by

The Duke Blue Devils winning outright was my only good call on the college card last weekend.  I turned in my first losing week this year at 1-2. I still have a great overall college football record against the spread at 17-8. I hate losing though. Even if it is only one week it still drives me mad. Lets see if I can get back to my winning ways here in week 10.

 GAME 1

Virginia Tech @ Boston College               Time: 12PM   ABC

Line: VT -5

Chode’s Pick: BC

Boston College is 3-4 on the year, but they are 3-1 at home. I like BC to cover the spread at home against a Virginia Tech team who’s coming off  a bad loss to Duke. Don’t be surprised when the Hokies play poorly again this week.

GAME 2

Mississippi St @ #14 South Carolina    Time 12:21 PM  (weird timing with the one minute)

Line: South Carolina -12.5

Chode’s Pick: Miss St Bulldogs

I’ve been paying attention to this Miss St.  team all season. I think they are an under the radar SEC team. While the Bulldogs are not great, they will find a way to be good enough Saturday to make this a game, and keep it close enough to cover.

GAME 3

The match-up  referred to as the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.”

Georgia @ Florida in Jacksonville        Time:   3:30 CBS

Line: Georgia -3

Chode’s Pick: GATORS

Both of these teams are 4-3. Georgia is coming off back to back losses. The Gators head coach Will Muschamp has never been able to win this annual match-up. As a Georgia player he was  0-4, and now as the Gators head coach he’s 0-2. Let Muschamp finally win the Cocktail Party game once, and put some Money in the Chodes pocket while he’s at it.

“Please, Let me win this damn game once. If  not for me, for The Chode”
