Chode’s College Football Picks: Week 11

Sports and Bets — November 7, 2014 at 7:15 am by

A solid 2-1 week last week gets things moving in the right direction. Of course the one loss had to be those assholes from Syracuse. The Orange have literally been my achilles heel this season, I just cant stay away. Despite them, we’re still 15-11 on the season, and ready to keep rolling.

Game 1    #24 Georgia Tech @ N.C. State

12:30 PM Gameplan/ ESPN 3

Line: GA Tech -4

Chode’s Pick: N.C. State

North Carolina State beat Syracuse last week and really screwed me as we already know. Hopefully this week I can be on the right side of an N.C. State win.  Georgia Tech is nationally ranked and they have a great record, but they haven’t beaten anyone worth mentioning. Tech’s losses came against the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Duke Blue Devils. Wolfpack win at home.

Game 2    Michigan @ Northwestern

3:30 PM   ESPN 2

Line: Michigan -2

Chode’s Pick: Northwestern

Northwestern comes into this game on a three game losing streak. Northwestern’s 3-5 record is misleading though, as they have some very good wins over #19 Wisconsin and Penn State. Michigan is not the elite program they once were, and are winless on the road this season. I’ll take the Northwestern Wildcats at home.
Game 3     #4 Oregon @ #17 Utah

10 PM   ESPN

Line:  Oregon -9

Chode’s Pick: Utah

This is a great Pac-12 South Matchup. The Utah Utes lost a tough one in overtime at Arizona State last week and will look to rebound back at home this week. Don’t know if they can pull off the straight up win, but this divisional game will be close enough that the Utes will cover in the end.
