Chode’s College Football Picks: Week 10

Featured, Sports and Bets — October 30, 2014 at 9:40 pm by

California did enough to hang on and barely cover for me last week. Southern Miss couldn’t do the same, and BYU never had a chance.  At 13-10 on the season its time to go for a perfect week 10.
Game 1:   N.C. State @ Syracuse

Sat- 3PM      ESPN 3

Line: Syracuse -3.5

Chode’s Pick: Syracuse Orange

Syracuse has been a pain in my ass all year. I have taken them a few times, and they have done nothing but burn me. Coming off a game where Syracuse only lost to Clemson by 10, I think the Orange are due to finally give the Chode a cover. Keep in mind Syracuse is playing an N.C. State team that has lost 4 straight.

Game 2    Florida vs #11 Georgia in Jacksonville, FL

Sat- 3:30 PM CBS

Line: Georgia -13.5

Chode’s Pick: Florida Gators

In a rivalry game called the world’s largest cocktail party, you can throw the records and stats out the window. There is no question in my mind that in such a hyped atmosphere Florida will put together a competitive enough game to cover this huge line.  GATOOOORS all day.

Game 3      #7 TCU   @ #20 West Virginia

Sat- 3:30 PM  ABC

Line: TCU -6

Chode’s Pick: WVU

Everyone is talking about how good a team TCU is after they blew out Texas Tech. Sorry if I’m not all over TCU because they blew out a bad football team. Let me tell you about a hot WVU team. I saw this offense play myself in Maryland and they were just getting started then. WVU currently has the 9th best passing attack in college football. Add in the fact that College Game Day Live will be in West Virginia this Saturday to fire up the WVU fans even more. I have no doubt we’re going to be calling Morgantown, “Upset City,” when this one’s over.
