Check Out The Great White Shark Hanging Around The MD Coast

Just in time for beach season, here is Mary Lee, the great white shark. Ocearch, a non-profit organization for the research on great white sharks and other large apex predators, tracks sharks up and down the coast, which is updated daily on their site. Mary Lee was tagged back in 2011, and is currently spending her days right off the MD coast. She is roughly 16ft. long, weighing close to 4,000 lbs. No big deal…

We all know the ocean is chock full of these beasts, but dammit, let it be a mystery. Along with being glued to tracking Mary Lee’s whereabouts, I am now following this son of a bitch on Twitter. Shark Week has become complete hogwash, so shark tracking is the most legit thing we got. I hate it, but I just can’t get enough. Mary Lee was hanging out in Chincoteague Bay this morning, but again, not a big deal…
