Bruno Fernando Declares For NBA Draft; Not Hiring Agent

This is kind of what I expected Bruno to do all along. Dip his toes in the water and see what happens. By by hiring an agent he can come back to Maryland next year, but still will be able to work out for NBA teams, similar to what Justin Jackson did last year, and Melo Trimble before him.

If Bruno does decide to officially go pro though, Maryland is getting screwed out of watching an immensely exciting and talented player. He failed to really improve much as the season went along, which is par for the course under Mark Turgeon’s coaching, and it’s obvious he could use more time at the collegiate level before going pro. But as we’ve also seen recently, players often go the route of going pro before they’re ready.
