That’s right folks, I have a disease, or some people might just call it a gambling problem.  Why fight it?  Why not just embrace it?  Well, that’s what I’m gonna do to the tune of the first half under in tonight’s Bears/Jags game.

Right now, it’s sitting at a very attractive 21.5, and that hook has me sold.  The second preseason game usually has the starters playing about one half of football.  The Bears are returning literally their entire offense, which is a predominantly veteran group.  Therefore, I don’t see Marc Trestman playing his starters the whole first half.

As far as the Jags,Chad Henne gets the start, but Blake Bortles should also see time with the ones.  That to me sounds like neither QB will get in much of a rhythm, so I don’t see the Jags putting up more than maybe a field goal or two.
Of course what could throw a monkey-wrench into this plan is some sort of turnover for a touchdown (Or multiple turnovers for touchdowns).  It does happen in the preseason, so I’m not going heavy in my wager by any means.  I’ll say Chicago leads 13-6 at half, and we come home with some cheddar.  It’s not like you’re gonna watch the second half anyway, so why not make the first half that much more interesting.

As The Chode says, take this advice for what you will, and good luck.
