U.S. Customs and Border Protection has had some big seizures in the Port of Baltimore over the years. In 2007, they found more than 300 pounds of cocaine in a shipping container from Ecuador. In 2013, they found 128 pounds of cocaine in a shipping container from Panama. And now, they can add a 147-pound cocaine seizure into the record books. From The Baltimore Sun:

The latest discovery was on August 4 when officers conducting a routine inspection using “non-intrusive imaging technologies” when they found anomalies in the stacks of lumber in a container from Brazil, authorities said. The officers found two gym bags with 57 bricks of a white-powdery substance that authorities said tested positive for cocaine. The authorities estimate it is worth more than $4 million.

That is a shit ton of nose candy. Whenever I hear about a seizure like this, I always think about how furious the drug kingpin must be. I get pissed when I lose my ChapStick, so I can’t imagine how livid someone would be after losing more than $4 million worth of product. Must really put a damper on your day.

And here’s your obligatory Frank Sobotka clip.
