Annnnnnnd Darren Waller Is Suspended For At Least A Year

Well this sucks (cue everyone on the ‘we should have drafted OJ Howard’ bandwagon). The Ravens lost Dennis Pitta after re-injuring his hip, and now they are down another tight end for at least a year. It hasn’t been released what the substance abuse suspension was specifically for, but Waller spoke of his weed use after being suspended for the first four games of last year.

This leaves a 38-year-old Benjamin Watson coming off an Achilles injury, Nick Boyle, Crockett Gillmore, Maxx Williams, and Ryan Malleck as the teams’ tight ends. Not exactly the most talented bunch. Hopefully Maxx Williams can someday prove why he was a second round pick, but as of right now, Nick Boyle seems like he might be the best tight end of the bunch.
