And Refs Wonder Why We All Hate Them

This is why.  This is the exact reason.  Because this is the most obvious call in the whole universe.  The call was aided by replay and yet the refs still get it wrong at a crucial moment in the game.  Inexcusable. Absolutely inexcusable. Even Grant Hill said it was Whisky ball for shit’s sake. This wasn’t a bang-bang play in real time.  This wasn’t some spin move dunk where the defensive guy never touched the offensive guy, but it was close and the ref blows the whistle. This was a slow motion review aided by 1,000 cameras and modern technology.  Awful. Probably karma payback for the Wisconsin/Kentucky shot clock debacle, but awful nonetheless.

Crap like this cheapens the game and gives it a shady feel.  Thoughts of diabolical wrong-doing have to enter your mind, because the call is so blatantly obvious.  I mean, what the hell is the point of having replay if the zebras can’t even get this one right?
